Care

To keep your OPA Living sofa looking and feeling its best, a little regular care will go a long way. Follow these simple steps to maintain the quality, comfort, and appearance of your sofa.

Cleaning & Spot Care

  • Wipe regularly with a soft, damp cloth and a mild detergent to remove everyday marks or spills. Avoid harsh chemicals, bleach, or abrasive cleaners that may damage the fabric or stitching.
  • For deeper cleaning, a fabric-safe upholstery or spot washer can be used carefully to refresh the fabric and remove stains. Always test cleaning products on a hidden area first. If your sofa has removable covers, you can take the covers to a professional dry cleaner to maintain the fabric’s texture, colour, and overall quality.
  • Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth — avoid rubbing, as this can push stains deeper into the fabric.

General Maintenance Tips

  • Vacuum your sofa weekly using a soft brush attachment to remove dust, pet hair, and debris from seams and crevices.
  • Avoid prolonged sunlight exposure, which can cause fading or discolouration of the fabric over time.
  • Rotate your seating positions regularly to ensure even wear and maintain consistent comfort across all cushions.
  • Do not sit or stand on the arms or backrest, as this may affect the frame and structure.
  • If your sofa has fixed seat and back cushions, gently pat and smooth them regularly to help maintain their shape and plushness, otherwise Plump and rotate cushions regularly to maintain their shape and ensure even wear.

  • Keep sharp objects and rough clothing (like denim with metal rivets) away from the sofa to avoid accidental snags or tears
