Our collection of single armchairs consists of furniture made from only the best premium fabrics for quality you can trust. And they’re not only durable but look and feel amazing too. 

Our modern armchairs are available in nine different materials: 

Luxe velvet – Soft, warm, and expensive-feeling, luxe velvet comes in a large range of colours and catches the light thanks to the fabric’s gentle sheen. 

Bouclé – Like sitting on a cloud, bouclé fabric is perfect for a baby room chair or to make a statement in your living room. Bouclé is woven with tightly looped yarns for texture that’s oh so tactile. 

Linen – Light and airy, linen armchairs are a firm favourite for their subtle elegance and natural worn finish.   

Kobi – Can’t decide between linen or velvet? No problem, kobi offers a blend of both with a subtle and hardwearing weave. 

Palermo – A super-soft alternative to velvet, palermo chenille provides a stylish two-tone finish to an armchair that looks as good as it feels. 

Mythica – Durable and practical for modern living, but so plush and rich you can’t help but to sink into it, Mythica has slub weave and a tactile finish. 

Olympia – Contemporary but timeless, Olympia armchairs have a linen-look with a natural edge. This fabric has a clean weave with subtle texture, perfect for armchairs with curved edges. 

Luxe cord – Cord is the name; rich texture is the game. Our luxe cord armchairs are soft like velvet, with the added interest of subtle ridges. 

Fernando – Known for its strength and style, an armchair made of fernando is a versatile piece of furniture that will suit any room’s décor.

Colours  

With our extensive range of fabrics, it’ll come as no surprise that our collection of armchairs comes in a wide variety of colours too. Whether you choose a blush orange bouclé, olive velvet, or sage kobi, you won’t be disappointed. 

 

Pick your fabric carefully, as our colours vary by material. Neutrals are available in all fabrics, but bold hues are saved for our luxe options. 

 

Other elements to consider  

Location and use – Our armchairs will suit almost any environment, but some styles better fit specific rooms or uses. For example, if you need a modern nursing chair for a baby’s room, a high back and extra cushion may be more supportive. If you’re planning a three-seater and chair, then we’d suggest a smaller accent piece, and a swivel chair works brilliantly in open-plan homes.  

 

Size – With it being a single-seater chair, it’s easy to assume your new armchair will fit easily into your space. However, we always recommend you check the dimensions and measure your room, doorways, and hallways before placing an order – especially for our loveseat designs. This will ensure a smooth delivery and avoid unfortunate returns. 

 

Shape – Armchairs may be smaller than sofas, but they still come in a variety of shapes and layouts. From square and rectangular corner armchairs to circular loveseats, there’s a design for every space. 

Maintenance – OPA Living armchairs come with a warranty, but careful maintenance and cleaning will keep yours looking its best for longer. Make sure to shop our care kit for emergency spills and stains.

Do OPA Living armchairs match your sofas?

All OPA Living sofas and armchairs can be made from the same fabric and colour of your choosing, and many of our design collections include chairs and sofas of various sizes.

Which armchair is most comfortable?

How do you style an armchair?

OPA Living armchairs look great on their own, but you can elevate them further with a contrasting cushion, draping a throw over the back, or placing them on a rug next to a tall floor lamp. 

When does an armchair become a sofa?

While this may sound like a philosophical question, the answer is quite simple. An armchair, technically, becomes a sofa when its frame and weight capacity are designed to be big enough to seat two people at the same time.  

A loveseat sits somewhere in between an armchair and a sofa. We consider a loveseat an armchair if one person can comfortably reach and use both armrests at once.

How do you clean a fabric armchair?

Most of our armchairs have fitted covers which aren’t removable or machine washable. Therefore, we offer a fabric care kit.  

Our care kits include everything you need to care for your armchair, including:

  • Grease stain remover 
  • Fresh stain remover  
  • Resistant stain remover  
  • Premium microfibre cloths
