Linen – Light, airy, and effortlessly elegant, linen is naturally breathable and ideal for warmer summer months. Its relaxed character only grows with time, developing gentle creases that give your sofa a beautifully lived-in feel.

Kobi – Blending the softness of velvet with the natural look of linen, kobi has a delicate woven texture and an understated elegance. It’s also crafted with everyday living in mind, making it as practical as it is beautiful.

Palermo – Featuring a distinctive two-tone weave, palermo chenille brings subtle depth and texture to your space. Plus, this practical fabric can also be machine washed for easy everyday care.

Mythica – Soft and sumptuous with a rich, slubbed weave, mythica has the inviting feel of velvet with added texture. It’s a tactile choice that gives your sofa a wonderfully relaxed and luxurious look.

Olympia – With a natural linen-like appearance, olympia is understated, versatile, and easy to style. Its simple weave and subtle texture create a polished finish that works beautifully in contemporary interiors.

Luxe cord – Combining velvet-like softness with the distinctive ridges of corduroy, luxe cord offers texture, comfort, and timeless appeal. It’s a sophisticated take on a classic fabric that feels both rich and inviting.

Fernando – With a refined woven texture, fernando is both durable and versatile, making it well suited to everyday living. Its clean, understated finish brings a smart and effortless feel to any sofa.

Colours  

We love a light and bright neutral sofa at OPA, but we’re not afraid of colour. Depending on your fabric of choice, you’ll have an array of shades to choose from. Order free fabric samples to see the colours in person. 

Other elements to consider 

Size – While our modular sofas can be arranged in situ, our fixed couches are more rigid. So, if you fall in love with a fixed style, please make sure that it can fit through your doorways and hallways before placing an order. This will ensure a smooth delivery and avoid unnecessary returns. 

Position – Think about the layout of your room. Ask yourself: How much space do we have between the windows and doorways? Are there any alcoves to fit furniture around? Will a L sofa fit opposite the TV? Would a left- or right-facing L-shape sofa fit better? 

Maintenance – A little regular care will help your fabric L sofa stay looking and feeling its best for years to come. Many of our designs feature removable covers, although this varies by style. For those unexpected spills and stains, keep one of our dedicated care kits handy. 

Footstools – Many of our sofas are designed with a footstool that can be detached with modular sets. However, if you’d like everyone to be able to put their feet up, you may want to consider an additional footrest or a coffee table.

Delivery and lead times  

Our standard delivery time is between four and six weeks.

L-Shape Sofas Frequently Asked Questions

How do you separate an L-shaped sofa?

At OPA, our range includes both modular and fixed L-shaped sofas. So, not all couches can be separated. 

Modular sofas can be separated and reattached to form multiple combinations. You do this by first removing the couch cushions, then carefully lifting the sofa section an inch or two up and out. This should disconnect the section from the main sofa. Then simply reverse this process to reattach. 

Please be aware that our sofa sections can be heavy. Do not strain to lift. Seek assistance.

How do you arrange an L-shaped sofa in a small living room?

L-sofas not only look luxurious but they’re a practical choice to maximise sitting space in smaller rooms. If your room is tight, we’d recommend placing an L-shaped couch in the corner of the room to open up floor space and ensure there are clear walkways. 

The longest side of the sofa should be pushed up against the longest wall, with the shorter footrest piece along a side wall. 

Of course, it is also important to think about the room’s focus point. If the L-shape sofa is placed like this, you should hopefully be able to see the television comfortably while relaxing and not block a fireplace.

How do you arrange cushions on an L-shaped sofa?

All OPA sofas are soft and padded, so there’s no need to add more pillows for comfort. However, they can be a great finishing touch aesthetically. 

We’d recommend adding decorative cushions to the deep corner first and then working your way out to the two ends. An odd number of cushions will keep your sofa looking balanced, whereas a mix of colours, sizes, or materials can provide interest.
